Copyright and Fair Use LR

Number fourteen under "videos" makes me very angry. It is about how a teacher or an organization could not show a movie to a group of students or a group of kids without getting the copyright laws. I do not understand what the difference is between planning a "movie night" with your friends and watching a movie in a formal group. I think that it should be allowed. Disney and other companies are just making money off of it. It seems like they make it a law so the companies can get money. Whether or not people are watching the movie in a formal setting or in a dorm room should not matter. I think the law is on place to make money and that should not be a reason to have a law. It is not a big deal to show a movie to a group of people. Movies are made to be watched so there should not be a law stopping me from watching a movie with a group of people. There are many ways to get around this if it is not in a classroom. You would have to show it informally. However, in a classroom you have to follow the legal proceedings because obviously you are teaching the students and you are in a formal environment. I would vote for this law to be removed due to being not necessary.
